Case Lake 2 Wildlife Management Area | Minnesota Pheasants, Inc.

The Case Lake 2 Project (know internally at MPI as Area 451) is a future Wildlife Management Area located approximately 2 miles south of Madelia on Highway 60, then 1/2 mile east on Watonwan County Township road 172.

In 2018, Minnesota Pheasants, Inc. – Blue Earth County Chapter purchased 451 acres from Merlyn & Brenda Johnson. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will add this to their inventory of management units once the property has been transferred to the DNR.

This 451 acre project consist of upland habitat as well as a considerable wetland component. Most of what is referred to as “Goose Lake” is encompassed by this new unit. This is a very new project, more information will follow.
